An advocacy-driven film screening and engagement initiative that highlights the stories, cultures, and lived realities of Indigenous Peoples in the Philippines.
What is Salaysay Lahi?
SALAYSAY LAHI is a film-based advocacy initiative under SAHAYA: Sailing Beyond Currents, Amplifying Waves of Influence, which aims to promote cultural awareness, inclusivity, and responsible storytelling by showcasing narratives centered on Indigenous communities in the Philippines.
Through carefully selected films, the initiative encourages participants to reflect on issues of representation, identity, and social responsibility, transforming passive viewing into meaningful awareness and action. Complementing this, advocacy-driven merchandise is also offered to further extend the message and allow participants to actively support the cause beyond the screening experience.
